My name is Anca. First of all I would like to say that I’m not claiming to be anything that I’m not, meaning I am not a financial expert. You see self-proclaimed “gurus” out there all the time, especially on the Internet, having nothing to back them up. I am not trying to sell anything, I am not writing a book, and I am not expert, again. Just someone that loves blogging and tries to learn and share.

I am passionate about anything that has to do with money. This is still a taboo subject, people don’t want to talk about how much they make, or even to admit they love money. Money for me has a meaning beyond just cash, how much you have in the bank or what your paycheck is. Money is fredom, power, safety, security.

Money has always been associated with bad things, thus the taboo and the general discomfort when talking about it or giving it much importance. “The root of all evil”, “it doesn’t bring happiness”, “hungry for money”, ”gold digger”, and much more has been said related to money. We don’t like to admit the importance it plays in our lifes: “I don’t care how much it costs”, “money is not an issue”, “she’s such a gold-digger”, “it’s not all about money”…we’ve all pretended not to care.

But the bottom line is, as long as it’s honest money that you worked for, as long as you have a purpose for it and spend it wisely, there is nothing wrong with wanting it and getting it.  So this blog was created for me and you to learn together about this subject that is not taught in schools. If you think about it, we are “thrown” in a world that revolves around money, knowing nothing at all. We have no idea how to make it, save it, invest it, apart from getting a JOB and doing the basic money handling as everyone else.
